Tax To Financial Freedom - 15 Steps to Doing Your Taxes Correctly, Part 1
FMF, one of my favourite blogger just post a new series of post call “15 Steps to Doing Your Taxes Correctly†and today he just shared his the first part of the series.
FMF will convert and cover with comment on the 15-point tax checklist from Money Central to 15 parts. Below is the first part:
“Get serious. Unless you’re focused, you’re going to see that receipt six times rather than the once you need. This is all mental now. Schedule a time to get to work and commit to that time.
I keep a file of all tax information every year so when I start to work, it’s all there. This system has worked for me over the past several years and is much better than the “now where is that receipt” system I used a decade or so ago. ;-)â€Â
Years ago, I saw and learn a system from my mentor. Everyday, he will collect and put all the receipt, invoice and other documents for taxation in a box. Every week, he will spend a few hours, sitting down and rearrange them neatly in a file. This will help him reduce a lot of trouble every year. So I also learn his system and use it daily. To me, doing works little by little everyday is better than finish all at once.
