May 4th, 2006

Money magazine and salary.com compile a list of the Best Job In America. They rate the careers base on salary and job prospects. Below is the chart that I extract from the statistic which will show you the top 5 job with the highest Job Growth(10 years forecast) and Average Pay.

Highest Job Growth

Average Pay

Physician Assistant (49.65%)

Physician/Surgeon ($247,536)

Software Engineer (46.07%)

Lawyer ($153,923)

College Professor (31.39%)

Sales Manager ($135,903)

Financial Advisor (25.92%)

Dentist ($122,883)

Human Resources Manager (23.47%)

Financial Advisor ($122,462)

Looks like all most of the top ranking job is under the science and technology fields. The job that catches my eye when I try to compile the list is Financial Advisor. It appears in the top 5 list for both Highest Job Growth and Average Pay. What I think is maybe more and more people looking for financial advisor to guide them in personal finance and financial planning. That’s why Financial Advisor will be growth around 25.92% in 10 years with the high average pay, $122,462. Just a piece of my mind, what do you think?

I think that beyond simply personal finance advisors, individuals who can navigate corporate finances will add to the demand. With laws like the S-O Act, people are cautious of another Enron disaster.
