This smells of a scan. Everything on that page is in HYPE type. And since you didn’t explain why or how he makes money from people reading this book, I’m going to assume that it’s a scam.
In fact it seems a lot like this Bill Gates E-mail scam
No, I don’t think this is a scan.
In fact, what Russell, the author of the free ebook, doing is a marketing tactic. Through this tactic, he can collect as many as email contacts for the launching of his new info products that will be coming out soon. This is how he make money after this. So paying $1 per download at the first stage and collect a list of customer database. So when he launches his new product, he will have some one to tell.
