Do you believe in luck? I knew there are people who don’t believe in luck. They just believe in their own abilities to success rather than LUCK. This make them work hard and do something that most ordinary people will not do until they end up successfully. But do you think that LUCK really doesn’t involve in their success? Let us find out…..
What is LUCK?
Before this I heard that LUCK is an acronym, “Laboring Under the Correct Knowledge”. I also heard that LUCK is where preparation and opportunity meet. In other words, you are considered as lucky if you can achieve something you want to because you manage to leverage on an opportunity using your knowledge, information and ideas.
I believe all of us have LUCK in our life. We are not lucky only because we don’t prepare for the LUCK. Since the preparation is not enough, then there are nothing happens even there are opportunities appear in front of us that will make us lucky. In fact, I found that if you are not well prepared, you won’t see the opportunities appear around you. This is the main problem where so many people are not lucky and successful.
I knew there are a lot of people have a goal to achieve financial freedom and become rich. But not all of them can make it because not everyone is preparing for the luck to be financial free. Like what I always say, the journey to financial freedom is really a long journey and we must work hard to achieve it. This is the price of it but how many people are willing to pay it? At the end, those who pay it will achieve what they want and they are the lucky one in others’ eyes. However, we never knew how much of hard works, time, and labor they have spent to be the lucky one.
So as conclusion, LUCK is just an opportunity that appears in front of you randomly. If you want it to appear at the right time and help you, then you must prepare for it. If not it just simply flow away from you and you become the unlucky one.
How to Prepare For the LUCK?
Now we knew that in order to be lucky, we must prepare ourselves for it. So how we are going to prepare? Let me share with you another idea that I learn about LUCK.
Lately I was reading a Chinese ancient book about life and health. There is one part in the book mentioned about LUCK. According to the book, LUCK is the power of transferring or transforming something. So based on this theory, we can figure out the way to prepare for the LUCK.
There are 3 things that we need to have the power to transfer or transform something: Knowledge, information and ideas. So all we have to do is just concentrate on these 3 things to prepare for our LUCK.
Gain more Knowledge
Knowledge is very important in the ancient and today’s world. It is important because it can give us the skills that we want. We need skills to accomplish something. Besides that we also need knowledge to make a plan to success. In school, one of the biggest skills that we can learn is analysis. With the appropriate knowledge, we can analysis one incidents and find the solution. This ability is very important if you want to success and this is also the ability to help us spot out the opportunity appears around us. I believe this is the way to catch the LUCK.
In the journey to financial freedom, we need knowledge in personal finance, how to invest, running a business, make more money and etc. The more knowledge we have, the more LUCK we can find out and be the lucky one to success.
Collect more Information
Information that I mentioned here is the details of the LUCK. It is more about Planning. Now you have knowledge to spot the opportunities and skills to accomplish certain tasks for them, however, this is not enough.
LUCK has its own details and requirements to success. For example, you spot a money making product in your business. You have the skills needed but you need a plan to take actions. So first you use your market research skills to find out the market for this product, then you use marketing skills to approach the targeted market and finally you use your selling skills to persuade them to buy your products. Of course, if you want to support your customers, you need extra skills such as management skills and etc. You need a plan to list down all the sequence of actions that you must take in order to succeed. This is the planning.
Before you make a plan, you need to collect all the information about an opportunity. However, you must act fast on this. You need to act fast for certain opportunity. This is why we need to prepare for our LUCK and opportunity. The more skills you have, the faster you can accomplish all tasks needed for the opportunity. This is why LUCK only appears for those who well-prepared.
Ideas
If you have a look on those who success, you will found that they have some ideas inside their head that make them succeed. They are lucky and succeed. I said this because idea is also part of the LUCK.
LUCK only appear with reasons. Do you agree that luck of making money will not fall on to a person who is just lying down on the bed and do nothing? I never heard any stories that there are a million dollars fell down from the sky and make a guy become rich. IF this really happens, then this guy has the most ridiculous luck on the world. 
All of us have some kind of luck around us but it will not approach us if we don’t generate any reasons for them. The “reasons” that I mentioned here is idea.
Idea is a concept to do something that is being formed by inter-relating all the facts, information, skills, needs that we have inside of our mind. It is just the final combination of all our knowledge and information that we have.
For example, base on your knowledge and information, you found that there are a group of people willing to spend money on product A. They demand for it to solve their problem. Then you have an idea that why don’t you start a business using your skills and information to serve this hungry market? Then you start the business and bomb!! Your business explodes and become so big and generates a lot of money to you. Now you are the lucky one who makes a lot of money.
Idea is a crucial factor to determine whether you can succeed or not. So from now on, you have to open up yourself to accept all kind of information. This will help your mind to receive enough knowledge and information to generate the ideas for you.
PS: In business, you don’t really need a totally new idea to make money. You also can have an idea to enhance those existing system and make money too. You will succeed as long as you have a good idea.
Prepare for Your Good Luck to be Rich
Success is just a stage of your definition on a particular area. For example, there are many people define that becoming a millionaire will make them feel they are success. They definition is if they can make millions of dollars, they are success in their personal finance. Success is just a definition and everybody will have different views on this. However LUCK is different and it depends on your mind and focus. If you focus on something, LUCK will help you on that and you are the lucky one. But before this you have to prepare yourself for the LUCK, this is the job that you have to do now to be success.

I absolutely agree with you. To make it simple, I define luck as following: LUCK = OPPORTUNITY + PREPARATION. Don’t you think so?
